Free

Free is an album written by a Scottish band called Twin Atlantic who formed in early 2007.
The album is about being free (of course), taking life one day at a time but also living life to the full! The album artwork is what truly interested me because I discovered that each picture is part of one of their songs in the album. For example, I believe the gas container is a take on the song ‘Free’ named after the album because the lyrics include; “I set my body on fire so I could be free”.
In my opinion this is such a great album and I really do love listening to it, especially when I am in a bad mood because it never fails to cheer me up. My favourite lyrics are all on the image below which was cleverly placed into the outlines of the artwork.

The Girl On Fire! - Hunger Games Nails

A long time ago, I was asked by my sister to do her nails for her… It turned out I got a little over the top and decided to really go for it! So, I themed her nails as the Girl On Fire like in the Hunger Games. If you like them, here’s how I did it…
PICT3806
Equipment and Materials:
  • Base Coat (Barry M)
  • Sponge
  • Red Nail Polish (17)
  • Orange Nail Polish (Claire's)
  • Yellow Nail Polish (Barry M)
  • Gold Sparkly Varnish (Barry M)
  • Top Coat (Barry M)

This design is probably best on natural long nails. First apply a base coat, then get a sponge (I cut one up from a kitchen sponge) and dab the red nail varnish on the corner of the sponge. Practice on a piece of paper first then sponge the top of the nail, where the cuticle is. Then, put some orange nail varnish on a different corner on the sponge and again practice before sponging in the middle of the nail, slightly overlapping the red to smudge and blend, mixing the colours and making an orange colour in the middle of the nail. Repeat again for the yellow except at the end of the nail, then brush over the nail with one coat of gold sparkly nail varnish and finish with a top coat. Although this takes a while to do due to time taken for the varnish to dry, its worth it because the overall result looks fab! A little tip though: You may get polish on the edges and around your finger so use a cue tip and nail varnish remover to get rid of this.

Let me know if you like the design, and what you think of it!

Ghost Perfume

For my Birthday, I had asked for this ‘Ghost’ Perfume in which I personably is amazing! A friend had recommended it to me a while ago and so I decided to try it in the shop and fell instantly in love!

I have always been sceptical when buying new perfumes because not only do they smell different on different people, but also I never seem to like the after smell of most perfumes. However this is definitely the best perfume I have ever used.

The Reasons to like this perfume are on-going but firstly, It isn’t too strong when you put it on. Furthermore it has a lovely vanilla musty smell which I absolutely adore and the scent lingers for a very long time, which for me is definitely an advantage! Moreover, the bottle is presented in a very sleek and fashionable style which of course makes the perfume even better and gives a fantastic impression on the perfume! In addition to this, the make of perfume does come in a range of different scents which may appeal more to you but I prefer the original.

On the other hand, it is not a cheap perfume. Therefore the cost is questionable because it all depends on where you buy it from, what size and whether you want a gift set with the body lotion, so the price probably ranges from about £20-£80.

My Iceland Holiday!

Hey guys!
So basically, a few years ago I went on holiday to Iceland. I was reminiscing about the great times my family and I had and I thought that it was probably one of my favourite holidays I have ever been on just because it was so different!
I was looking through some of the photos, and despite perhaps not being the best quality photos, they were still pretty awesome and I thought that I would share them.
As soon as we arrived, we travelled to our hotel via coach.

We visited the tectonic plates!

And the geezers!
CIMG0784
We also managed to get the opportunity to visit the most beautiful waterfalls.
CIMG0777
In Reykjavik (the capital) we managed to climb up the huge cathedral and get a view of the whole city! The scene was spectacular, with all of the beautiful coloured roofs and there was even a frozen lake in which people were ice skating!

By the frozen lake, watching the geese swim in the small area of water they had!

We then had the most wonderful experience to go to the Blue Lagoon! I was so excited because, despite it being –4 degrees, the heat of the huge mud bath was about 60 degrees!

I hope you have enjoyed looking through my Iceland holiday photos. I would definitely recommend Iceland to everyone because I had such an amazing time!
Let me know in the comments if this has inspired you to go or if you have any suggestions of places to visit yourself?!

Hello, Bonjour, Hola and Ciao!

Hey everyone and welcome to my blog!

I have wanted to write my own blog for a long time now, so here goes!
Back to basics; my name is Liberty and I am (currently) 15 years old.  Seeing as this is my first post to my blog, I just thought that I would let you know what it will be about. As a self confessed shopaholic, I will include my favourite clothing and styles and as a HUGE lover of music I will ensure I post regular music recommendations too. However my posts will also be broadly lifestyle based about everything and anything and most of all, its all about the adventure!
I’m excited about this and I really hope you like it!
